Reviewing a Record Number of Submissions for RSECon26

I am currently chair of the talks team for RSECon26. This year, we had a record number of submissions, which made the selection process incredibly hard—we had to reject so many excellent submissions because we did not have enough space in the schedule.

Since several people asked us about how the selection process works, I wrote an explanation including a few statistics to illustrate the incredibly high average quality of submissions. Go ahead and read it over on the Society of RSE’s website!
